We asked Niche users about their texting and driving tendencies, and here’s what we found out.
- Most Niche users plan on having a car for college. Sixty-nine percent said they plan to take or have taken a car to campus. More college students with cars means more temptation to text and drive, right? Not necessarily.
- Most Niche users do not text and drive. Sixty percent of users report never doing it.
- Nearly half of Niche users check their email with their cell phones. “Cell phone” and “computer” are neck and neck for most popular email devices.
- Despite most not texting and driving, Niche users have a reliance on text messaging. Forty-two percent say that text messaging is how they mostly communicate with people in school.
What do you think about texting and driving? Do you think it’s as common as some statistics say? Or do you think people are finally wising up and putting down the phone when they’re behind the wheel?
