In the coming weeks, thousands of freshmen will be entering college for the first time, meaning thousands of students will be fish out of water, flopping around in new surroundings.
Freshmen will face the challenges of moving in (You want me to fit my entire life into a closet-sized room?), making new friends (I don’t recognize anyone!), and getting to know their new academic environment and neighborhood (What do you mean there’s no Starbucks?).
For first-year students, it’s beneficial to be surrounded by fellow newbies, as they know there’s always someone nearby in the same position as them. For upperclassmen, being surrounded by freshmen can make them feel high and mighty knowing they’ve “been there, done that.”
Whisper, the app and website dedicated to making public secrets, has students expressing both their love and disdain for their schools with a lot of first-year students. Check out some sample Whispers below.
So what are the schools that have the most first-year coeds? Check out the College Prowler ranking for Most Freshmen, the list of schools with the highest number of frosh students. What school is No. 1? Find out here.
