Tip: It’s hard to do well when you don’t have the assigned reading and borrowing from others can quickly become a pain.

Tip: Renting is often cheaper and easier since you don’t have to worry about selling your book when classes are over.

46 percent of students get their books before classes start.
Tip: There are only so many copies of a textbook available used or for rent. If you wait too long, you may have to buy new and pay more.

61 percent of students use a laptop.
Tip: Check out your school’s bookstore for technology discounts. Many companies like Dell and Apple offer reduced prices to students.
