What’s that in the sky? It’s a bird! A plane! It’s an. . .art sculpture?
It’s kind of reminiscent of a scene from Pixar’s Up, but Do Ho Suh’s “Fallen Star” is actually an art installation at the University of California San Diego, a house built at a 10-degree angle on top of another building, Jacobs Hall.
Suh created the piece as an exploration of themes around the idea of home, cultural displacement, perception, and memory construction. Check out more images of the inside of the house here.
Does your school have any interesting art exhibits or features?
