The Dark Ages of Studying are over. Gone are the days spent in the library squinting at the 8-point font of an encyclopedia under lamplight—it’s the 21st Century, we can do better than that.
Seriously though, you’d be surprised how many people are unaware of some of the most useful studying methods available now (after reading this, you might realize you’re one of them). Even if you think you’ve figured out the most efficient studying methods, you never know, you might be unaware of something that could be making your life much, much easier. Take a look:
1). Class Syllabus
Maybe this sounds pretty obvious, but take a look at your syllabus if you’re having a hard time studying for a test or figuring out an assignment. Perhaps contrary to popular belief, teachers don’t normally make a hobby out of failing students, and they usually do a decent job of providing all of us with appropriate resources to perform well in their classes. On more than one occasion a teacher of mine has provided a syllabus over ten pages long outlining the course in great detail, listing relevant websites and books, and even providing vocabulary definitions. Take advantage of stuff like this, they give it to you for a reason!
