Newsflash: There are 1.7 million homeless people under the age of 18. Right now. In America. The number one item they request from shelters? A pair of jeans. Believe it.
Wanna help them? Join DoSomething.org’s Teens for Jeans and donate your old or unwanted jeans to homeless youth. Last year, young people like you collected more than 1 million pairs of jeans, which clothed two-thirds of the homeless kids in the US. Huge.
Now it’s your turn. Run a Teens for Jeans drive at your school or in your community. When you drop off the jeans at your local Aeropostale, every participant gets a coupon for new jeans. You even have the chance to win cool swag, a pizza party, and even a $10,000 grant.
Why stop there? Share a stat about teen homelessness, and you’ll be entered to win a $5,000 scholarship. Check out http://www.dosomething.org/teensforjeans to learn more.
