Who won the September Study Buddy Scholarship? It’s Linda Boyd, a sophomore at Jones International University.
Why she chose her school: I was going to another college, and I did not like their problems. I received a call from Jones International University and was told about their programs, and after some research, I decided to go to JIU.
On the college experience matching the expectations: It is so much fun to realize that we all have a chance to make a better life for ourselves.
Advice to college-bound students: Always realize that whatever you think you can do you can achieve. All it takes is good time management and having a good support system in place.
Best thing about college: As every day passes, I learn new things and all of this concerns my future.
Something people would be surprised to know about you: I love to go fishing in my spare time, with my husband.
Plans for after graduation? I plan to go back into the job field after I finish this degree, but I also want to go on and get my master’s degree.
