In honor of Self-University Week, we’re offering tips every day through September 7 on ways to self-educate yourself.
Today’s tip: Make the most out of the many experiences college will afford you.
While the goal of SU Week is to continue education beyond college years, during your four years in college, there will be many unique (and often free!) experiences offered to you. Take advantage of as many as you can, whether it’s a foreign film, an interesting lecture series, or a RAD (Rape Aggression Defense) class.
Post-college, you won’t always have such interesting cultural experiences surrounding you, but by participating and engaging yourself within your community early on, you’re setting yourself up for a lifelong journey of education, where you will force yourself to seek out intellectual stimulation in situations that are lacking.
